Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has hit upon a unique way to motivate its employees and also boost their immune system. It has arranged for virtual ‘Art of Living’ camps to be held on all weekends, till April 11, 2021.

Appreciating the fact that its civic employees have been working hard and with dedication, through the pandemic, to help check the spread of the virus, PMC has come up with this camp, with an aim to give a boost to the morale of the staff. About 650 employees contracted COVID and 50 of them even lost their lives to it.

It is hoped that Pranayama and meditation sessions will help the employees improve their immunity and also ensure mental health. The camp, which is free of cost, will focus on health and happiness, and last from 7a.m. to 8:15 a.m. every Saturday and Sunday until April 11. Through this camp, employees will be given guidance regarding the right diet to adhere to, the ideal daily routine to follow for good health, useful Yoga asanas, breathing exercises and meditation techniques.

These sessions can be attended using a mobile or a laptop, and up to 500 people can attend a session at a time. This is not the first time that PMC is organising such a camp for the staff for their overall well-being and efficiency.
