TVS Motor Company has announced that it will be halting all manufacturing operations at its India and Indonesia plants, to protect its staff from COVID-19. Operations in both countries have been suspended till further notice, and relevant staff members have been provided the required facilities to work from home.

With the well-being of its employees being the priority, the Indian multinational motorcycle manufacturing company is doing all it can to keep its staff and their families safe. It is also concerned about the safety of those working for its suppliers, dealers and also its customers.

The Chennai-headquartered company has assured that none of its employees will lose their jobs nor will there be loss of salary during this pandemic. It has assured its support to all its associates, dealers and suppliers during these trying times. Its staff have been told to follow the guidelines for safeguarding themselves.

An emergency contact number has already been set up for all employees, while arrangements have been made to ensure that resources are available to handle COVID-19 related queries around the clock.

Hero MotoCorp, which had earlier shut down all its production plants in India, Colombia and Bangladesh, has also taken similar measures. It has assured that employees will not be laid off during this period. In fact, it has promised to provide monthly payments in advance to the contract workers instead of waiting till the end of the month. The Company’s employees involved in non-production work are already working from home.
