The programme is aimed at making students from Indian engineering colleges job ready, through training and skilling.

Technological disruption and automation have rendered a large portion of the workforce obsolete, and in dire need of re-skilling and training. Companies are devising their own methods to train and skill potential candidates so that they become industry ready.

On similar lines, the Infosys Gurgaon Development Centre (DC) organised SPARK— a flagship programme initiated by its recruitment team— to train and skill the students from engineering colleges in the country, making them industry ready.

The event saw participation of over 200 students.

Participants were first acquainted with the purpose of the programme, followed by ice-breaking sessions, and  corporate presentation on Infosys at the end.

The programme involved some group tasks, where students were divided into teams and asked to complete some task, involving many constraints. The purpose was to help the students understand the value of working together, managing time, depending on each other, assigning responsibilities, as well as critical path and deliverables. This was called Project Think Approach.

The students also went through various fun activities, such as quizzes and group activities, which were designed to enhance their interactive quotient. Today, interpersonal skills and manner of interaction with clients play a significant role in obtaining clientele for the business. Therefore, the importance of these skills cannot be ignored.

In addition, the students got a chance to walk through the well-developed infrastructure and facilities of Infosys Gurgaon DC.
