Cognizant, a global technology and consulting firm, is ramping up its presence in India with significant hiring and new facilities. The company is creating thousands of jobs across technology, engineering and business services, underscoring its focus on growth and innovation.
Cognizant is opening a 10 lakh square feet facility in Hyderabad. This hub will drive operations in artificial intelligence, cloud computing and advanced technologies. The centre is set to generate over 15,000 jobs, cementing Hyderabad’s role as a critical part of Cognizant’s global strategy.
A new TechFin centre in Gandhinagar’s GIFT City is slated to be launched by February 2025. Initially employing 500 professionals, the centre will focus on banking and financial technologies. Plans are in place to expand the workforce to 2,000 over three years, boosting Cognizant’s capabilities in the BFSI sector.
Furthermore, the company has opened its first facility in Indore at Brilliant Titanium. Starting with 1,500 employees, the centre aims to scale operations to 20,000 over time. This marks an important step in tapping into emerging tech hubs while boosting local employment.
Globally, Cognizant has over 3,500 job openings. In India, there are more than 1,200 opportunities for experienced professionals and recent graduates. Roles span digital technology, AI, cloud computing, and enterprise solutions.
For graduates stepping into the tech world, Cognizant is offering 151 entry-level roles. These positions emphasise skill development in digital services, cloud, and AI, providing a strong career foundation.
