GATE Score to be considered for Coal India hiring

Coal India is accepting applications for 588 management trainee posts. The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2021 score of the candidates will be considered during the hiring process. The government-owned coal mining and refining corporation is looking for candidates for the mining, geology, as well as electrical, civil and industrial engineering disciplines. The upper age limit is 30, as of August 2021.

The selected candidates will undergo training in E-2 grade and earn salary in the range of Rs 50,000 to Rs 1,60,000.

The minimum qualification for eligibility is a BE/BTech/BSc (engineering) degree in the relevant discipline, with minimum score of 60 per cent. For the geology disciplines, MSc/MTech in geology or applied geology or geophysics or applied geophysics is a must with a minimum score of 60 per cent marks. A relaxation of five per cent will be given to SC/ST candidates and Persons with Disability (PwD), who may apply even if they have scored 55 per cent marks in the qualifying examination.

Candidates need to apply via the official website of Coal India and follow the instructions given therein to generate the login id and password, and then use the same to complete the application form.

The candidates will be required to submit the details asked, upload the relevant documents and pay an application fee of Rs 1180.

Applications will not be accepted after September 9.
