Muvi, the OTT platform, with its headquarters in New York, is looking at hiring 50 people in 2021. It is looking to expand its Global Development Centre at Bhubaneshwar, where it is creating various roles, as part of its plans to expand in India. In fact, 80 per cent of its new hires will be stationed at Bhubaneshwar, while the remaining will, in all likelihood, work remotely, depending on their roles.
To expand its existing workforce of 240 in the country, Muvi is in the process of hiring new talent online. It is looking for people across various verticals and divisions, including development and marketing, and new technologies, such as artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML) and blockchain. It is hoped that the new hires will help build Muvi’s product portfolio.
It is gearing to expand its marketing and product-management departments too.
Over the last one year, Muvi has launched various new products and taken measures to fulfil the market demand for its streaming and non-streaming products across five continents. To make this happen, the Company has tied up with various partners and added to its 350-strong client base, spread across 50 countries, according to Prashasti Pritiprada, director – HR, Muvi.
Last year, the OTT platform took on more than 80 employees.
The US-based Muvi offers end-to-end solutions for its customers, including video/audio content owners, broadcasters, TV networks, and content aggregators.
