Access to quality education remains a challenge for students in smaller towns and rural areas across India. Many lack resources such as top-tier coaching, career counselling, and study materials, leaving them at a disadvantage compared to their urban counterparts. A new platform, Xcellify, is attempting to address these gaps by providing students with a wide range of academic and career-related resources in one place.
The platform offers services such as tutoring, career assessments, overseas study guidance, scholarships, and internships. In addition to academic support, it also includes lifestyle essentials tailored for students. By consolidating these resources, Xcellify aims to ensure that students from all regions have access to the same opportunities, regardless of their location.
The platform allows students to compare and connect with different service providers. Whether they are seeking career guidance, financial aid, or study materials, they can access multiple options and make informed decisions. The initiative aims to reduce the stark divide between students in metropolitan cities and those in rural areas.
Beyond educational resources, the platform includes an interactive discussion forum. This space enables students and parents to share experiences, seek advice, and engage with experts, fostering a sense of community and support.
Xcellify is set to expand further with the launch of its Partner Portal, which will allow vendors offering education-related services—such as career counselling, tutoring, student accommodation, and financial aid assistance—to connect with students nationwide. The platform also includes provisions for purchasing educational materials such as uniforms, stationery, and gadgets.
The initiative is led by Dipak Sahoo, Amit Prasad, and Pradipta Sahoo, who bring expertise from various industries, including education. Dipak Sahoo is a CIO with 27 years of leadership, and has driven technology, transformation, and innovation across APAC, serving on digital venture boards and mentoring startups.
