    Asma Sultana appointed principal, head of HR, eClerx

    eClerx Services, a productised services company has appointed Asma Sultana as principal, head of human resources. She was earlier global talent management head, Alorica where she spent almost three years developing and implementing the company’s global strategy of hiring world-class associates for corporate business functions across the globe.

    An alumna of XLRI Jamshedpur, Sultana started off as a recruitment manager for LG Soft India, in 2002. After two years of handling overall staffing operations across services, she moved to HP as senior manager-HR business partner. For two and a half years, she was the single point of contact for the management team with the platform functions (staffing, learning & development and Total Rewards).

    July of 2007 saw Asma Sultana join Accenture as manager-HR (industry group HR lead). Six years into this role, she was elevated to senior manager-talent strategy. Two years later she was promoted to VP-human resources (HR BP-NA, AAPAC, Europe and LATAM). For the next four years she was accountable for providing strategic HR guidance to the business in decisions that impacted people, and ensured the delivery of the people agenda.

    Another elevation in 2019 put her in the position of senior vice president-leadership hiring (operations).

    After a long and successful tenure of almost 15 years with Accenture, Asma Sultana joined Alorica, as global talent management head, in May 2022.

    Backed by over two decades of experience, this accomplished global HR leader— specialising in talent acquisition, employee engagement, digital transformation, leadership development, and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives— is looking forward to “fostering an environment that champions collaboration, continuous learning, and innovation” at eClerx. Her ”focus will be on enhancing employee experience, strengthening leadership capabilities, and ensuring that eClerx remains an employer of choice in the industry.”

    Sultana holds a degree in law from University Law College, Bangalore, and has completed a post graduation in HR from XLRI Jamshedpur.
