With an aim to create a strong leadership pipeline for the evolving hospitality sector, Chalet Hotels has announced Lakshya – Aim. Lead. Achieve. This 15-month Management Trainee Programme is designed to attract and groom high-potential talent.

The programme offers a rigorous, multi-stage development experience that combines cross-functional learning, leadership exposure, and operational training across Chalet’s premium hotel and corporate portfolio.

Structured as a four-stage journey, Lakshya begins with Uday (Fresh Start), introducing trainees to the fundamentals of the business, before moving into Anubhav (Experience), where they take on real operational responsibilities. The next phase, Pankh (Advanced Learning), focuses on building deeper strategic and analytical capabilities, while the final stage, Shikhar (Live It), offers an immersive leadership experience, often involving independent project execution and close collaboration with senior executives.

In a first-of-its-kind approach for the company, trainees will not only receive cross-functional exposure but will also have the opportunity to specialise in two areas—a major and a minor—ensuring both breadth and depth of expertise. Each phase will be conducted at different properties or brands within the Chalet portfolio, giving participants insight into varied operational models, market segments and brand philosophies.

Explaining the company’s vision for the programme, Gaurav Singh, chief operating officer, Chalet Hotels, said that Lakshya is much more than a structured training plan. “We are investing in the next generation of hospitality leaders,” he said. “The programme is designed to provide a comprehensive foundation of strategic and operational skills, equipping future leaders to thrive in a dynamic and demanding industry.”

Mugdha Mahambrey, general manager, human resources, Chalet Hotels, emphasised the company’s long-term commitment to nurturing talent. “At Chalet, we believe that developing our people is central to building a future-ready and resilient organisation. Lakshya embodies this belief, creating a clear and structured path for learning and leadership growth while staying anchored in our values,” she said.

With its combination of real-world assignments, leadership shadowing, corporate immersion, and strategic project work, Lakshya is being positioned as a benchmark programme in the hospitality sector.
