PeopleStrong to help MG Motor India recruit women

The car manufacturing company will now hire women leaders for sales dealerships, which was once a male-dominated area.

Taking a positive steps towards ensuring a diverse workforce, car manufacturing company, MG (Morris Garages) Motor India has entered into a collaboration with PeopleStrong, theHR tech and talent acquisition solutions company. The two will work together to increase the recruitment of women professionals across its existing and new sales and service outlets, especially following the recent launch of MG Hector SUV.

MG Motor India is all set to recruit a large number of women professionals in customer-facing roles. This will include all work and position in the front-end/back-end showroom operations, service, call centre, sales, and management. PeopleStrong’s digital-recruitment services will facilitate the same for MG Motor India, helping it to hire approx. 3,500 dealership staff. Through its standardised processes and AI-enabled digital matchmaking, PeopleStrong will offer tailor-made skillsets, which will help MG establish a strong foothold in the Indian market. The first phase of recruitment will be spread over the next six months and will result in the employment of about 2,000 dealership staff across the car manufacturing company’s wide web of 110 sales and service outlets in the country.

MG Motor has already announced its intention to hire women sales leaders for its dealerships— an area once dominated by men, especially in tier-2 and tier-3 cities. This is the right step in the right direction to ensure diversity in the workforce and empower women.
