Everest Group has announced a significant milestone in its global impact sourcing initiative, Commitment to Action (CTA). Through this initiative, the company has achieved its goal of expanding the impact-sourcing workforce from 3,50,000 full-time employees (FTEs) to 5,00,000 within the first two years of a three-year pledge.
This achievement forms part of the company’s broader goal to reach 1 million impact-sourced workers by 2030. This further reflects the company’s dedication to fostering inclusive employment opportunities.
As part of its CTA, the Everest Group has focused on research, tools for workforce enablement, and fostering collaboration to share best practices within the industry. The initiative is designed to promote inclusive employment, benefitting both marginalised communities and businesses through enhanced engagement and performance.
Everest Group highlighted the transformative potential of the technology and tech services industries in driving innovative impact-sourcing practices, globally. These inclusive strategies not only improve the lives of marginalised communities but also deliver business benefits, creating a ‘double bottom line’ effect by promoting sustainable employment opportunities across the board.
Since the start of the initiative in 2022, the Group has reported lower attrition and higher engagement among impact workers, who are now more likely to stay with employers long-term. The initiative has also seen a rise in employment rates for underserved women, people with disabilities and youth. Currently, 56 per cent of the impact-sourcing workforce comprises women, with 70 per cent under the age of 30, including workers from rural communities, veterans and LGBTQ+ individuals, illustrating the broad reach and inclusivity of Everest Group’s impact-sourcing initiatives.
