Infosys has recruited more than 7,600 local staff in the US, which is more than three-fourth of the target it had set of hiring 10,000 Americans by 2019. With five hubs having been already opened, and six more in the pipeline, and the Company having hired more than 2000 graduates from the campuses, it has clearly not let its target of ‘localisation’ out of sight.

Infosys’ largest market is North America (60.4 per cent), followed by Europe (24.2 per cent), rest of the world (12.8 per cent) and India (2.6 per cent). It reported a 20.3 per cent hike in revenue from operations at Rs 21,400 crore in the said quarter.

As per the Company’s announcement in May 2017, of setting up four technology and innovation hubs and employing 10,000 locals in 24 months, it is quite on track. As part of its three-year strategic plan, the Company has been recruiting freshers from campuses, training them and assigning them live projects. Infosys’ technology and innovation hubs have been established in Indianapolis (Indiana), Raleigh (North Carolina), Hartford (Connecticut), and Phoenix (Arizona), and one is in the offing in Providence, Rhode Island.

Infosys is also expected to establish three innovation hubs in Australia creating jobs for 1,200 people in the country by 2020.
