Lava International has significantly scaled up its recruitment efforts this year, onboarding more than 2,500 freshers across multiple roles in 2024. The homegrown smartphone manufacturer is strengthening its talent pipeline with a sharp focus on innovation, inclusivity, and future-ready leadership.

This campus-hiring initiative is Lava’s largest-ever fresher intake, spanning across departments such as product, marketing, e-commerce, R&D, supply chain, manufacturing and sales. The company has actively recruited from top institutions including IITs, IIMs, FMS, IMT, and MDI to fill strategic positions that will support its domestic and international growth plans.

Lava’s hiring strategy follows a bottom-up approach. Around 20 per cent of its R&D workforce now consists of young engineering graduates. This steady infusion of technical talent is helping the company stay competitive in innovation and product development.

To strengthen its field operations, Lava has ensured that at least 10 per cent of its annual field sales hires are fresh graduates. The move not only builds leadership from the ground up but also provides early career opportunities to young professionals in the tech industry.

Speaking on the hiring initiatives, Pranjal Yadav, general manager, human resource, Lava International, said, “We have actively embraced a bottom-up approach, ensuring that every employee, whether in leadership, technical, or manufacturing roles, has a pathway to grow alongside the organisation. We believe in creating an ecosystem that thrives on ingenuity, collaboration, and a relentless pursuit of excellence.”

Lava is also contributing to India’s manufacturing capabilities by hiring 100 per cent of its blue-collar workforce from technical institutions through targeted campus hiring drives. These recruits form the backbone of Lava’s production units, enhancing skill-based employment and supporting the country’s goal of self-reliance in manufacturing.

Internally, the company promotes its ‘t3D Culture’ of Delivery, Discipline, and Development. The design of the framework empowers employees with a sense of purpose, continuous learning, and growth in a collaborative and innovation-led environment.

With this large-scale hiring, Lava International is not just expanding its workforce but also shaping a new generation of leaders and skilled professionals to support India’s tech ambitions.
