Sharda University and the Human Resource Federation of India (HRFI) together held the National Human Resource Seminar, as part of the University’s ‘industry connect’ programme.
The seminar offered a platform for HR leaders from across the industry as well as faculty, and students, to interact and arrive at ways to improve placement opportunities and industry projects for students.
Organised by the Department of Training and Placement, School of Engineering and The School of Business Studies of Sharda University, the event saw participation from industry, academia and students along with the faculty of the University.
The speakers included Ronald Sequeria, ED-HR South Asia, GlaxoSmithKline India, Sandeep Tyagi, director-HR, Samsung Electronics, Amit Malik, chief people officer, and Aviva Life Insurance. The topics of discussion included artificial intelligence and its effect on HR, workplaces of tomorrow, as well as employee experience & engagement in the near future.
The ‘industry connect’ programme by Sharda University aims to motivate students to gain an understanding of the economy and industry standards. Under the initiative, 50 MOUs have been signed on various technologies for all the schools of the University to improve project-based knowledge.
The seminar concluded with a panel discussion on the topic ‘Creating an Agile Mindset for Sustained High Performance’.
