Simplilearn, the online boot camp for digital economy skills training, is set to add about 800 people to its workforce this year.
Amidst the growing demand for reskilling and upskilling, the Company is further strengthening its teams in India and globally.
Having received funding from Blackstone about the same time last year, Simplilearn has been strategically using the finance to enhance the workforce and marketing. Maximum hiring has been in the product, tech, and marketing teams. In fact, the tech team has grown from 60 to 200.
Efforts are on to hunt for talent at the CXO, vice president, and senior vice president levels in India as well as in the US, with both markets accounting for 80 per cent of Simplilearn’s business. Freshers will also be hired for 20 per cent of the jobs.
Krishna Kumar, founder & CEO, Simplilearn, revealed that, the Company has “invested a significant share of our revenue in building and sustaining our team strength. We believe that talent is a crucial part of the company’s journey to success”.
It is the Company’s effort to keep “exploring avenues to onboard fresh talent while facilitating the growth and development of our existing team members”.
As part of the expansion plan, in India and abroad, the Company will “substantially invest in our workforce by the end of 2022”.
Simplilearn conducts over 3,000 live classes, offering learners the opportunity to upskill and get certified in popular domains. It has been collaborating with foreign and local universities to offer quality faculty and industry exposure to its learners across the globe.
