Wipro has recently introduced a revised hybrid work policy aimed at enhancing flexibility while maintaining productivity and collaboration. Under this new framework, employees are now required to work from the office three days a week.

In a mail to employees, Saurabh Govil, chief human resources officer, emphasised that this new hybrid work policy reflects the company’s commitment to employee well-being while maintaining a high-performance culture.

The policy has been designed around Wipro’s core values of collaboration, flexibility, inclusivity, and trust, ensuring it meets the diverse needs of its workforce while aligning with the evolving demands of the business.
Employees are now allowed to request up to 30 days of remote work annually, intended for personal health needs or caregiving responsibilities for family members. To utilise this benefit, employees must obtain approval from their managers.

The policy came into effect on 1 October, 2024.

Collaboration is at the heart of Wipro’s approach to hybrid work. The company firmly believes that in-person interactions foster innovation and drive success. By requiring employees to spend three days in the office each week, Wipro aims to create an environment where meaningful collaboration can thrive, helping teams work together more effectively. These in-office days are not fixed; the company allows employees the flexibility to choose the days that suit their collaborative needs best.

The policy further demonstrates Wipro’s inclusivity and sensitivity to special needs. By allowing employees to take remote work days for caregiving or personal health reasons, the company recognises that life’s unpredictability often requires additional support. This accommodation ensures that employees can navigate challenging personal situations while remaining productive and engaged in their professional roles.

This updated approach is seen as part of Wipro’s broader effort to cultivate a progressive and inclusive workplace environment, one that balances employee well-being with the demands of a dynamic business landscape.
