Microsoft app to connect Indian Railways’ employees to healthcare services

The app called Kaizala will not only connect existing and retired employees to the nearest hospitals, doctors, and diagnostic centres, but also help them book appointments and share reports.

Indian Railways, will now use the Microsoft Kaizala app to ensure timely healthcare facilities for its employees across the country. The app can be used by both the current and retired staff members. It will connect the employees to 125 railway and 133 private hospitals that are on the panel of the Railways. The Kaizala group will be managed by doctors from South Central Railways, with the help of focused groups of doctors, nurses and paramedical staff.

All employees who register for healthcare services will be able to search for the nearest hospitals, diagnostic centres, health units and doctors on the Kaizala app.

The app will make it simple for employees to book appointments with doctors and also share lab reports with them. The app also facilitates saving of digital records. This usesr-friedly chat-based app allows users to not only access important information and announcements, but even provide feedback on the services they have availed. This is an important features as timely and relevant feedback is required so that necessary action can be taken to improve the quality of medical service.
