Adani Ahmedabad International Airport has appointed Amit Shah as head – human resources, marking a new chapter in his career within the Adani Airport Holdings (AAHL) ecosystem. He announced the move on LinkedIn, stating he looks forward to contributing to organisational growth and creating a positive employee experience.
Amit Shah joins Ahmedabad from Mangaluru International Airport, where he served as head HR from April 2025 to August 2026, handling HR, IR and administration for a workforce of 200 on-roll and 1,200 contractual staff, overseeing manpower planning, talent management, acquisition, compliance and engagement for seamless airport operations.
An HR professional with over 15 years of experience, his career graph includes a long stint with Adani Group. He was Lead HRBP at Adani Airport Holdings from February 2021 to March 2025 for four years and two months in Ahmedabad, managing manpower budget planning, HR operations, lifecycle management, statutory compliance, and partnering with cargo, fuel farm and head office teams across eight airports.
Earlier, he was human resources business partner at Adani Solar from April 2016 to January 2021 for four years and ten months in Mundra, where he led HR setup for a 2 GW greenfield solar manufacturing project, recruiting 300 on-roll and 3000 outsourced staff.
His manufacturing HR journey includes a five-month role as plant HR manager at Coromandel International from December 2015 to April 2016, manager-HR at LavaCast from August 2014 to November 2015 leading HR for a greenfield foundry JV with a Spanish firm and hiring 250 on-roll plus 700 contract staff, plant HR manager at Tata Group’s Automotive Stamping & Assembly from April 2013 to August 2014, and senior executive-HR at Jubilant Life Sciences from September 2010 to March 2013.
