Akshatha Karangutkar has joined Aditya Birla Education Trust as head-human resources. In this role she will spearhead the human capital for all the units of the group.
Prior to this, she was associated with Samhita Social Ventures as its associate director. She joined the company in the year 2022.
An alumna of TISS, Karangutkar brings over 20 years of experience in HR. She has held many leadership positions at NewsWire18, Dainik Bhaskar, Adfactors PR and Bank of Baroda Financial Services.
Her expertise lies in talent management, recruitment, digital transformation, employee engagement, employee training and benefits.
began her HR journey with CentrumDirect as its assistant manager-HR. She joined the company in 2006. In 2010, she moved to NewsWire18 as its manager-HR & admin.
Her next stop was Adfactors PR in 2013. She joined the company as its senior manager-HR. After three years, in 2016, she joined Dainik Bhaskar as head-HR and corporate sales.
It was in 2021 that Karangutkar joined Bank of Baroda Financial Services as AVP-HR.
Karangutkar holds a BSc degree in Computer Science from St Joseph’s College, Bangalore.
