    Ankit Aneja elevated to group director HR-GCC, India & Africa, Sporty Group

    He was earlier group HR director-GCC & Africa since 2023

    Sporty Group, a consumer internet and technology business with sports media, gaming, social and fintech platforms, has elevated Ankit Aneja to group director HR-GCC, India & Africa. He had joined the company in 2023, as group HR director-GCC & Africa. For the past two years and seven months, he has been responsible for driving the people and culture function across the group in GCC and Africa, for SportyBet, Sporty Media and Sporty TV.

    Aneja, who has studied Computer Science for business professionals from Harvard University, is an alumnus of Delhi University and the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India (ICFAI).

    His professional journey began as a senior associate-talent acquisition, at Wipro, in 2003. Three years later, he moved to EMA Partners International, as senior consultant-talent.

    Ankit Aneja’s next stop was Korn Ferry where he worked as senior associate-Asia Pacific and Japan, working out of Singapore.

    From 2016 to 2017, he was with Reddin Partners, as senior consultant-Australia and New Zealand, based out of Melbourne.

    The year 2017 saw him joining Max Life Insurance as chief manager-HR, talent acquisition and strategic projects. Three years later, he switched to DICO Group to build talent and culture for India, Middle East and Africa (IMEA). This position required him to work out of Dubai.

    In 2024, he became board advisor for Gobbl.

    Now, with this promotion at Sporty Group, Ankit Aneja will be responsible for people, performance and culture. HRKatha wishes him all the best!
