    Ankita Upadhyay to head employer branding – worldwide, for LocoNav

    Ankita Upadhyay will now be heading communications, social media and employer branding-worldwide, for LocoNav, the fleet-tech company

    This postgraduate in public relations and corporate communications from the Xavier Institute of Communication, spent over two and a half years with 20:20 Media in the initial part of her career, in New Delhi.

    In 2010, she moved to Edelman India as senior account executive. By the time she left the company seven years later, she was account director, based out of Mumbai, Maharashtra.

    Upadhyay became part of the Mahindra Group in 2018. She spent a year and a half in group communications before being promoted to the role of brand communications lead.

    For about nine months, she was in the role of marketing communications – Mahindra Automotive Division (PV, CV & Pikups).

    Upadhyay is known for her resilience at work and for her determination. She exhibits purpose while delivering on campaigns and initiatives for clients. Her peers know her as a committed and self-driven professional who brings in high levels of energy to her work.

    In June last year, LocoNav had raised $37 million in a Series B funding round led by Quiet Capital, Anthemis Group and Sequoia Capital India among others. The fleet management solutions company had revealed its intentions to use the funds to expand to the US as well as emerging markets across the globe.

    It was gearing to create more partnerships and channels, and make strategic acquisitions. The Company has also been working to set up a technology and data science team across San Francisco, Gurgaon and Bengaluru.
