Tyre makers Bridgestone India has appointed Apurv Choubey as CHRO. Choubey who joined on May 20, will be responsible for driving HR transformation and HR operational excellence.
He will be based out of Pune and will be a member of the Bridgestone executive team as well.
Choubey has moved from Serum Institute where he was the global CHRO.
Choubey comes with 28 years of experience in HR working in various sectors such as electronics, automotive, bio-technology, and pharmaceuticals.
He started his career in 1991, has held leadership positions and has been a board member in some of the leading organisation. His first assignment was with Alcan where he honed his skills in HR for six years and reached to the level of manager, human resource. Post Alcan, he moved to Tetra Pak as HR manager and then to Tyco Electronics as head HR. In 2002, he was appointed as head HR and OD at Tata AutoComp Systems and there after he moved to Honeywell Automation as director HR. Between 2011 and 2016, he was with Syngenta as country head HR India and South Asia.
Choubey has travelled and worked on assignments across geographies. He brings excellent understanding of world class HR systems and processes with proven ability to implement and maintain them.
