    Biplab Bakshi is the new executive director-HR, Dabur

    Biplab Bakshi has taken over the reins at Dabur India, as executive director-HR, from outgoing head, V. Krishnan. In his new role, Bakshi will be responsible for all HR functions at both domestic and international entities of Dabur, and will be reporting to Mohit Malhotra, CEO, Dabur.

    An HR professional with over 25 years of experience, Bakshi began his career with Tata Motors in March 1993, as a management trainee. He was later elevated to assistant HR manager. After three years at Tata Motors, he joined Bausch and Lomb as factory HR manager, in May 1996. He went on to join BILT as deputy general manager-HR, in September 1998.

    A year later, Bakshi left BILT and joined Nestle in 1999, where he spent 20 year, the longest stint of his career. At Nestle, he held various positions before assuming the role of head of corporate HR, Nestle India, in 2003. The next four years saw him moving to South Africa to take charge as HR manager- compensation and benefits. In between, he also did a short stint at Nestle Switzerland.

    When he returned to India in 2009, he took over as HR director, Nestle, South Asia region, and was based out of Gurgaon. He was responsible for managing a direct work force of over 8000 employees in nine manufacturing locations and also a distributed sales force. He held this position till 2015, after which he was elevated to the position of HR director, Nestle Oceania, and became a member of the board of directors for Nestle Australia, based out of Sydney.

    A graduate of the 1989 batch, in electronics and communications, at the Institute of Electronics and Technology (IET), Lucknow, Bakshi completed his master’s in business adminstration from XLRI, Jamshedpur, in 1993.
