After a long and successful tenure of over 23 years at Infosys, Komal Jain has accepted the role of CEO at Birlasoft, the global tech company and part of the CKA Birla Group. Among other responsibilities, Jain will accelerate growth across the US, Latin America and Canada, strengthening client partnerships, shaping the innovation agenda and driving strategic investments to further enhance our market leadership.
After completing a BTech in Electronics from National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra, Komal Jain went on to obtain an MBA in Marketing and Information Technology from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta, in 1998.
He co-founded Onmobile Systems, an Infosys subsidiary, in May of 1998, in California, US. For the next almost four years he was part of the five-member core team that incubated this startup, picking up tricks of the trade that helped shape him in his later years.
He accepted the role of client relationship manager at Infosys, in June of 2002. Working out of Dallas, he was responsible for new account openings in the manufacturing, tech and resources segment. Almost three years into this role he was elevated to senior sales manager.
The year 2008 saw him being promoted to associate vice president and head of sales for four years. The next promotion in 2012 elevated him to AVP and head, client services, high tech and manufacturing vertical. In this position he headed the global strategic relationships team. Four years later, he became VP, industry leader-semicon, computing and distribution industry segment.
Four years into this role came another promotion, putting him in the chair of vice president, industry leader-high-tech vertical. From April 2021 to April 2023, he served as senior VP, industry head-high-tech business unit. Within just about two years, he was promoted to the position of senior vice president, industry head-high tech, telecommunications OEM and media, in April of 2023.
Now, at Birlasoft, the Komal Jain will lead Birlasoft’s business across the US, Canada, Mexico and Latin America, shaping the company’s innovation agenda and driving strategic investments to further enhance its market leadership.
