Chandrashekhar Mukherjee has quit Magic Bus Foundation, where he was CHRO, to join Bhilosa Industries, as senior president – HR. At Magic Bus, Mukherjee was leading the HR function and reporting to the global CEO.

Before joining Magic Bus Foundation in Februrary, 2020, Mukherjee served as the chief people officer at South Indian Bank, leading the HR function for its 780 branches, 20 regional offices and 8477-strong workforce.

For two years, he served as the group chief people officer of Srei Infrastructure Finance, a conglomerate with an employee strength of over 9500. Mukherjee has also served as the chief people officer, National Stock Exchange of India (NSE), for over seven years, from April 2010 to June 2017. There, he was responsible for the corporate HR function for NSE and its group companies.

Before joining NSE, he was associate vice president – HR and branch head, Mumbai, at Bennett Coleman & Company, Times of India Group. He has also worked with Cabot India, Colgate-Palmolive India and Usha India in the past.

A commerce graduate from the University of Allahabad, Mukherjee pursued post-graduation in human resources from the Institute of Engineering & Rural Technology.

By joining Bhilosa, Mukherjee has made his entry into the textile industry. Here, he will have ample opportunity to create more employment opportunities for people and help them build a successful life, as Bhilosa is committed to the ‘Make in India’ initiative. The Company has developed its infrastructure (in the form of new plants) to generate employment.
