After a successful tenure at Hyve Group, as general manager-India, for almost five years, Gaurav Sood has taken up the role of CEO, Messe Stuttgart India.

Three years later, he moved to Expomedia Events India as group head-projects. Over the next four years, he set up the sales and marketing vertical for the company, developed strategic partnerships and launched and developed trade shows in the domains of interiors, construction, hospitality, beauty and fitness industries.

Sood’s next stop was MCI India, where he joined as director-conferences and director-institutional division India. Eight and a half years into this role, he was elevated to director-association management and consulting India, working out of Mumbai. He spent a total of nine years at this company that provides strategic engagement and activation solutions in the international meetings, events, association management and conference industries space.

January of 2018 saw Gaurav Sood joining ITE Group as general manager-operations. Over two years later he moved to Hyve Group, where he was responsible for driving growth, market expansion, business planning and leading engagement with industry partners and stakeholders for this international organiser of exhibitions, conferences and business connect programmes.

Roland Bleinroth, President of Messe Stuttgart, believes “Sood’s extensive experience in the trade-show industry will facilitate the further expansion of our already successful business model in India.”

Gaurav Sood personally sees Messe Stuttgart India playing a pivotal role in “facilitating industry collaboration, driving innovation, and creating strategic platforms that empower businesses and contribute to the nation’s progress.”

Given his years of experience in this field, Gaurav Sood is surely an asset to Messe Stuttgart, the German trade fair company
