With this new appointment, the company hopes to strengthen its focus on hiring stellar individuals who will help the organisation grow at an even faster pace.

Hike Messenger, one of India’s fastest growing Internet companies, has roped in Vikrant Bhatnagar as the head of HR. Vikrant will be responsible for development and growth within the organisation. He will also be the driving force behind the people strategy of the company, which has established itself as a recognisable global force by launching the largest mobile app to be born out of India.

Kevin Mittal, founder and CEO, Hike, says, “As we continue the rapid pace of growth, we believe it is vital to double down on building a world class environment that fosters creativity and innovation. Vikrant, with his wealth of experience and desire to innovate, will be a fantastic addition to our leadership team. I hope he will help turn Hike into one of India’s best workplaces.”

With a wide range of experiences during a career spanning over 16 years, Vikrant Bhatnagar will play an important role in guiding the company further. His previous leadership position as an HR leader at Amazon Kindle India and head of talent management APAC, Aon Hewitt, has prepared him to undertake the task at hand with great efficiency.

Bhatnagar, who joined Hike on May1, expresses his enthusiasm on assuming his new role— “Hike is a phenomenal ‘make in India’ success story in the Internet space. The combination of extremely talented people, innovative business practices and the relentless passion to bring India online is extremely energising.”
