Crowne Plaza, owned by the British InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG), has announced a key change in the management of one of its biggest hotels in India. It has appointed Kallol Saha as director – human resources, Crowne Plaza Today Gurugram. Saha will head the recruitment administration, training and development of talent, as well as employee engagement at IHG’s first managed property in South West Asia.
This is the second time Saha has been associated with the hotel. He worked for the Plaza, in the capacity of training coordinator back in 2007, before joining the Leela Kempinski, Gurugram, in 2008.
Saha has been a part of the hotel industry for about 15 years now. The XLRI Jamshedpur graduate started off his career with a keen interest in the talent development functions of the hospitality sector. His vast experience has seen him work with brands, such as Westin, The Leela Palace and Park Hyatt. He was the director of human resources for Radisson Hotel Group’s Radisson Blu Dwarka, before joining Crowne Plaza Today Gurugram.
Saha earned his bachelor’s degree in hotel management back in 2006. Venturing into the hospitality business, he worked as the assistant training manager for The Westin Gurgaon before pursuing a postgraduate programme in human resource management from XLRI Jamshedpur in 2011.
