    Krishna Priya joins Branch International as head – people operations, India

    Branch International, a personal finance company with a strong presence in India, Nigeria, Kenya, and Tanzania, is excited to announce the appointment of Krishna Priya as the head of people operations for its operations in India.

    Before joining Branch International, Priya held the position of HR director in India for a Fortune 300 global financial services company. Her experience includes building and expanding startups in fintech and other sectors. Additionally, she holds certifications as an ICF-ACC-accredited coach and an NLP practitioner.

    In her new role as head of people, Priya will oversee the overall people strategy and plan for Branch International in India. She is committed to nurturing the organisation’s mission-oriented and people-centric culture. Her primary focus will be on enhancing Branch’s reputation as an employer in India while supporting the company’s growth by adding top talent to its global team.

    With a master’s degree in human resource management from IIT Kharagpur, Priya brings nearly 14 years of extensive experience in human resources, organisational development and leadership. She has a diverse background, having worked with international corporations, nonprofits and startups in both India and the US.

    In response to Priya’s appointment, Neeraj Gupta, managing director, Branch International, expressed his excitement, saying, “We’re delighted to welcome Priya to our leadership team. Her extensive experience and deep insights into HR and organisational development will be pivotal in driving our mission forward. We eagerly look forward to her contributions as we continue to empower the mobile-first generation in India.”

    Priya herself is enthusiastic about her new role at Branch International and shares, “Branch has a remarkable track record of providing equitable financial services to the mobile-first generation in emerging economies. I am thrilled to be part of this journey and to lead the people strategy that will support Branch’s ongoing success in India.”
