American multinational company, DXC Technology, has appointed Lokendra Sethi as its vice president, human resources (HR). Sethi will be driving the HR strategy for the Company that provides B2B information technology (IT) services, in India. He will also be responsible to scale its operations for the growth projected. In addition, he will be leading the Company’s diversity and inclusion (D&I) agenda and handle the corporate responsibility charters.
With more than 20 years of experience in the IT sector and working with consulting organisations, Sethi worked with AECOM, the global HR talent services company, before joining DXC. At AECOM, as global talent service lead, he spent more than three years helping it set up its global delivery services network. Before joining AECOM, he worked with Gaja Capital for 11 months, from September 2015 to July 2016, as the operating partner HR.
Sethi’s longest stint was with Accenture, where he spent about 11 years, from May 2004 to April 2015. He worked in various capacities as HR lead (IDC), HR processes lead (IDC), HR lead-industry groups and global careers programme and as HR business partner for APAC delivery centres, India, Philippines and China. He also served as the HR lead for the Philippines technology delivery centre, based in Manila. The last position he held at Accenture was that of managing director-HR service delivery lead, Cross DTE, India.
An alumnus of XLRI, Jamshedpur, Sethi was business development manager at Covansys (now DXC Technology), from 2000 to 2004, based out of Singapore. There, he was responsible for key account management, IT solutions sales, new sales, recruitment and people management.
A BTech from IIT Varanasi, Sethi started his professional journey as senior management trainee at HCL Perot Systems in 1998. He worked there for a little over a year before joining Syntel Singapore as business development manager for a year.
