After almost three years of successfully heading The Sleep Company’s D2C, Nirav Lalan has been elevated to the position of chief growth officer (CGO).

Lalan, who is an engineering graduate, has completed an MBA in brand management, from Mudra Institute of Communications Ahmedabad (MICA).

Initially, he worked as a system engineer with Infosys, from 2010 to 2012. He then moved to Wipro as business analyst-digital analytics for a short while, before joining IndiaFirstLife, as deputy manager-digital channel, in February of 2015.

Less than a year and a half into this role, he was elevated to manager-strategy. Another promotion put him in the chair of senior manager-strategy and alliances.

From 2019 to 2020, he served as head-direct and digital sales.

Nirav Lalan’s next stop was Team Pumpkin, where he looked after strategy, business development and operations.

December of 2021 saw him taking on the role of vice president, strategy at AU Small Finance Bank, working out of Mumbai.

His association with The Sleep Company began in 2022. He has been instrumental in helping the company achieve 20xgrowth in just under three years.

Priyanka Salot, co- founder, The Sleep Company, acknowledges that Lalan “has been a driving force behind our expansion journey” and that “his strategic mindset, innovative approach, and deep understanding of consumer behavior have helped us unlock new growth channels and redefine what’s possible in the comfort-tech category.”

Nirav Lalan looks “forward to building on our momentum and taking The Sleep Company to even greater heights.”

HRKatha wishes Nirav Lalan all the best as he continues to drive the Indian comfort-tech brand’s long-term growth, as it upholds it commitment to transforming sleep and sitting experiences.
