OLX India, the online classifieds platform, has appointed Olive Sen as chief business officer – horizontal business unit (non-autos).

Sen moves from NYX, where he was head of product. Backed by over a decade of diverse experience across consumer internet, product strategy, and digital marketplace sectors, this IIT Kharagpur graduate is known for his agility and clarity of thought.

In the initial years of his professional journey, Olive Sen worked with ITC as a summer intern for a few months before joining Nissan Motor as engineer (R&D). After designing and developing engine/power-train components for over a year, he moved to ZS Associates as general analytics associate.

About two and a half years later, in 2013, he joined Decision Point as analytics manager and partner.

His association with OLX Group began in July 2014. He started off as manager, product and analytics and was promoted to head-user monetisation in just over two years. The next promotion happened in 2019, which made him director of strategy and growth. By April of 2020, he was heading product, marketing and analytics, OLX HBU. After a tenure that lasted over seven years, he moved on from OLX Group to BetterPlace. There, he served as chief product officer for a little less than three years before switching to Stealth Startup to look after product and strategy, in June 2024.

Olive Sen has spent over 7.5 years in the classifieds space. Now that he is back with OLX, h e will be tasked with spearheading growth and innovation across the real estate, jobs, mobiles, electronics and other categories, strengthening OLX India’s commitment to serve over a billion Indian users.

According to Vinay Sanghi, chairman and founder, CarTrade Tech, Sen’s “ deep understanding of the platform, coupled with a strong strategic vision, makes him the ideal leader to drive our Horizontal Business Unit (Non-Autos) business forward.”

Sen himself is “excited to return to OLX India at a time when the classifieds space is evolving rapidly. The Non-Autos categories—from consumer goods to real estate and jobs—represent a massive opportunity to build for scale and depth. I’m looking forward to working with the incredible team at OLX to unlock this potential and deliver meaningful experiences for our users.”
