Smriti Handa has been appointed as the regional HR director for India and South Asia, Reckitt Benckiser (RB). Prior to this role, she was serving as the head-HR and diversity at Philips Healthcare. Handa has a total experience of 15 years. After completing her PGDM in human resources and marketing, she started her career with Airtel, where she spent 10 years in various HR roles.
This graduate from SRCC has replaced Mahima Kakar, who has now moved to a global role in RB. Kakar has relocated to Amsterdam, Netherlands to serve-as the HR director-global functions.
Kakar, who has an experience of 16 years in the HR function, has previously worked with Coca-Cola as organisational development manager. She has also served as the HR manager at DCM Shriram, the chemical manufacturing company.
Having joined RB as an HRBP for sales and marketing, Kakar has spent 11 years with the organisation.
With a BE (Bachelor of engineering) in chemicals, Kakar also completed her MBA in HR from the Symbiosis Centre for Management and Human Resource Development (SCMHRD).
