Pizza Hut has found a new chief people officer (CPO) in Nazia Abidi. She moves from the CarDekho Group, where she was serving as director-human resources.
Having started off as a systems engineer with Infosys, this MBA from XLRI Jamshedpur has also worked as a summer intern at Vodafone in the initial years of her professional journey. During her internship, she analysed employee-rewards survey responses and identified concern areas among other responsibilities.
It was in June of 2015 that she joined Samsung as assistant manager-human resources, talent acquisition. By 2018, she had been elevated to manager-HRBP and TA CoE, Samsung Electronics.
For five years she was responsible for executive hiring and campus engagement. She successfully designed the employer branding strategy and handled activities across top talent. Additionally, she drove the hiring process for management trainees across premier B-schools. She helped formulate and implement the summer internship programme. Additionally, she also took care of the enhancement, training and launch of the in-house recruitment tool during her tenure at Samsung.
Her association with CarDekho Group began in 2020, having joined as director,human resources.
