Satin Finserv (SFL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Satin Creditcare Network (SCNL), has appointed Pramod Marar as the chief executive officer to drive its green finance capabilities.
A commerce graduate from Shri Ram College of Commerce and an IIM-Bangalore alumnus, Pramod Marar started his professional sojourn as a trainee with Gillette in 1999. He then served as deputy manager-credit, UTI Bank for a while before joining HDFC Bank as deputy manager-corporate banking.
He also served as senior business analyst at Evalueserve.com before beginning a long association with HSBC. He joined as assistant vice president, factoring services, in 2004. Over a year later, he was elevated to vice president-commercial banking and then went on to be vice president, small and medium enterprises (SME), North India. January of 2008 saw him in the position of senior vice president and head-microfinance, India. Three more promotions later, he had achieved the position of head-business management, commercial banking, in June of 2015. From 2016 to 2021 he served as chief operating officer-commercial banking, and by 2021 he was promoted to managing director and chief operating officer, wholesale banking.
After a long and successful tenure of almost 18 years with HSBC, Pramod Marar founded MoEVing Fintech and played managing director for over a year. In 2023, he co-founded TapFin and served as chief business officer for over two years.
Now, at Satin Finserv, he will strengthen the company’s capacity to design and deliver impactful financing solutions across renewable energy, clean mobility, sustainable agriculture and energy.
