Shilpa Vaid has moved on from Arvind Lifestyle Brands where she was the CHRO. She had been with the company for the last 3.5 years.

For Vaid the last working day was April 30.

Stepping in Vaid’s shoes will be Priya Gopalakrishnan, who is currently the director HR at Exide Life Insurance

As the CHRO of Arvind Lifestyle Brands, Vaid was heading the HR function for all group companies which includes Arvind Lifestyle Brands, Arvind Fashions, Arvind Beauty Brands Retail, Arvind True Blue, and Arvind Sports Lifestyle.

In a LinkedIn post, she writes, “I have always believed that your team makes you who you are and this HR team has made me better than who I was when I started my role here. A team with incredible energy, passion and an indomitable spirit. A team that truly believes in ‘making a difference’.”

Vaid has primarily worked in the BFSI sector all through her career. In a role prior to Arvind Lifestyle, Vaid was the CHRO of Bharti AXA Life Insurance. At Bharti AXA, she was also leading internal communications and corporate social responsibility besides HR.

In the past, Vaid has worked with BFSI companies such as Aviva, ICICI Prudential Life Insurance, ABN Amro and MetLife.

After her degree in Political Science from Hindu College, Vaid completed her MBA in HR from International Management Institute and started her career with Arthur Andersen (now Accenture).

Gopalakrishnan comes with 25 years of experience in HR. After passing out from IIM Ahmedabad, she started her career with Hindustan Unilever and spent more than a decade there. In 2006, she moved to ING Vysya Life Insurance which is now Exide Life Insurance as director HR. She has been with the company since then.
