    Ramya Sampath Sharma is CHRO, Saint-Gobain Group in India

    Sampath Sharma was earlier chief people officer, GreyOrange, and before that she served Microland in the same capacity

    Ramya Sampath Sharma is now playing chief human resources officer (CHRO) at Saint-Gobain Group in India. She is backed by over 25 years of experience in the field of human resources.

    Sampath Sharma began her career as an HR executive with Novell in 1997. In 1999, she joined Unimobile as director-human resources. In August of 2001, she founded Concinnity.

    It was in July 2004 that her 14-year long association with Intel began. She started off as business HR leader-South Asia. By April 2010, she was heading talent branding and strategy-Greater Asia region. In between, she also looked after organisation design, corporate HR. February of 2013 saw her playing innovation strategist-global HR innovation lab, working out of Portland, Oregon Area. In March 2014 she was back in Bangalore to take up the role of head of talent acquisition-Greater Asia. Just over two years into this role, she was elevated to head of human resources, HR director-Asia Pacific and Japan. From 2016 to 2018 she successfully led the regional transformation programme across the sales teams in Asia Pacific and Japan.

    In 2019, Ramya Sampath Sharma joined Accenture as managing director, human resources and talent strategy, where she helped introduce an AI-driven employee chatbot during her stint. In November, 2019 she moved to Microland as chief people officer. During her tenure there she helped increase the employee-satisfaction levels through focused HR strategies on employee engagement. She also onboarded over 1000 employees remotely during the pandemic, with a highly rated Digital New Employee Orientation (NEO).

    In February of 2021 she joined GreyOrange as chief people officer where she was instrumental in increasing the Net Promoter Score from -2 to 39 over a period of two years through transformation, alignment of people practices and consistent execution to commitment.

    Known to be a strategic thinker, Ramya Sampath Sharma’s ability to grasp complex situations and move a solution forward will be an asset to Saint-Gobain Group in India.
