After over 16 years with Thomson Reuters, Ravi Rangaraju has been elevated to the position of director – regional HR India. This role will see Rangaraju working out of Bengaluru, just as he had been in his last role as senior human resources manager, HRBP leader for technology at the global news firm.
An alumnus of the Indian Institute of Management, Indore, Rangaraju is a graduate in electronics and communications engineering from RV College of Engineering.
Armed with a PGDBM in human resource management from Wigan and Leigh College, UK, Rangaraju began his association with HR as an intern-executive search, HumanCapital Consulting, in 2004. This is where he learned to recruit the right talent, match opportunity and candidates, and also the significance of storytelling in business. A certified handwriting analyst, Rangaraju has been freelancing as a consultant to multiple executive search firms that use handwriting analysis to validate candidates. He also imparts graphotherapy and is working towards identifying health-related traits in handwriting.
Passionate about interacting with the youth and mentoring the future talent of India, he loves to share his knowledge through guest lectures, teaching assignments, and delivering keynote addresses at various academic events across India, which he has been doing for over 15 years now.
A distinguished toastmaster, mentor and passionate storyteller, Toastmaster International, since 2015, he has been actively mentoring his club members as well as his colleagues to help them achieve their public speaking and leadership goals.
In 2007, Rangaraju joined Thomson Reuters as HRBP – India group functions. For over five years, he helped design, develop and implement a robust a buddy programme and first-level manager development programme for business groups. In 2012, he was promoted to HR manager, HRBP – technology, finance, corporate & operations, India. More than seven years into this role, he was elevated once again to senior HR manager, HRBP leader for technology. For almost four years, he successfully managed a team of top- notch HR business partners and helped them drive business value.
