PNB Housing Finance has elevated Satish Singh to the position of chief people officer (CPO). Singh has been associated with PNB Housing Finance for over 13 years now. He had joined as national head-human resources in December 2011, and was elevated to chief operating officer (COO) a decade into this role, in 2022.
Armed with an MBA in human resources and marketing, from the Indian Institute of Planning and Management, Satish Singh had begun his professional journey as junior manager-HR (plant), with JSW Steel, in 2006. For over two years, he successfully handled the performance management system (PMS), HR operations, payroll as well as general administration.
December of 2008 saw Singh taking up the role of manager, at Bharti AXA General Insurance. Three years later, he moved to PNB Housing Finance.
From December of 2011 to 2021, he served as national head-HR. Among other responsibilities, he institutionalised HR policies and implemented the performance management, succession and leadership- development framework. He also implemented multiple long-term incentive programmes such as ESOP to retain and motivate employees. During his first decade at the company, PNB Housing Finance obtained ISO certification for HR processes and policies, underscoring a commitment to quality and compliance. January of 2022 saw him being promoted to COO. In this role, he managed to successfully identify and implement additional revenue-generating avenues for the company, expanding its financial growth and diversifying its income streams.
Now, as chief people officer, he will help revolutionise HR, learning and development (L&D), the general administration department (GAD), corporate social responsibility (CSR), as well as environmental, social and governance (ESG).
