SBI Funds Management, a joint venture between the State Bank of India and Amundi, has appointed Nand Kishore as its new managing director (MD) and chief executive officer (CEO).
Kishore’s expertise lies in portfolio management services, alternative investment funds, offshore funds, and GIFT city offerings. His aim will be to meet the diverse needs of the financial institution’s retail, HNI, corporate, and institutional clients.
Prior to this, Kishore was associated with State Bank of India as its deputy managing director-global markets, in Mumbai. In this role he was instrumental in overseeing the bank’s treasury operations.
With an illustrious career spanning over 34 years at SBI, Kishore brings extensive expertise across diverse banking domains, including branch banking, international operations, treasury operations, investment banking, corporate banking, and retail operations.
Beginning his journey at SBI as a probationary officer in 1990, Kishore has consistently demonstrated exemplary leadership and strategic acumen.
Throughout his career, Kishore has held numerous critical positions, including chief dealer at SBI New York from 2007-2012, deputy general manager (Jul 2015-Sept 2015) & chief operating officer for the corporate accounts group in Delhi, from Sept 2015 to Jan 2017. He also held the role of the company’s chief general manager-Bengaluru Circle.
