After four years of serving as principal-business strategy and operations,Telstra, Pradnya Kulkarni has taken up the role of regional head of people, Thoughtworks, the global tech consultancy.
An alumna of Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pradnya Kulkarni served as a human resource executive in various firms for the first four years of her professional journey. She joined KPIT Cummins as corporate recruitment and resource executive in 2003. Till 2006 she handled campus recruitments, HR analytics, referral system, and so on based out of Pune, before switching to TechMahindra.
At TechMahindra, she headed the recruitment and resourcing function for the BT vertical spanning over 1800 associates, from May of 2006 to July of 2007.
HSBC roped her in as strategic resourcing and talent management lead in August of 2007. She worked out of Hyderabad for about two and a half years before being elevated to programme manager-HR transformation. Three years into this role, based out of Pune, she was promoted to AVP-HR, and relocated to Bengaluru, in 2013.
After almost six years with HSBC, Pradnya Kulkarni joined ANZ as HR business partner and HR business manager, in June of 2013. About a year and a half into this role, she was promoted to HR business partner-technology, in November of 2014.
From February 2016 to October 2018, she served UBS as director, talent, leadership and culture.
Western Union appointed her regional head-talent and learning, in November of 2018. Three years later she switched to Telstra, as principal-business strategy and operations.
Now, as head of people for India at Thoughtworks, she will head the India people strategy with emphasis on culture, DEI, leadership development, and scalable people practices.
