ZebPay has hired Geetika Mehta as its new CHRO. In this role, she will be responsible for designing and implementing the people strategy, culture transformation and talent-management initiatives. She will also help build ZebPay into an organisation of the future.

The Company, an Indian crypto asset exchange platform, has tripled its headcount and is planning to add more engineers.

Mehta will work closely with the leadership team to lead the business transformation and change-management agenda in the Company. She will drive a culture in the organisation which will ensure professional and personal growth of each individual.

Mehta worked as an independent consultant for close to 10 months, before which she was with Jubliant Agri & Consumer Products, where she served a short stint of six months in 2020.

This alumna of XLRI, Jamshedpur carries close to 15 years of experience in HR. She began her career with Cadbury in the HRBP corporate function. Later, she moved to PUMA Group, where she served for more than six years and left the Company as an HR head.

In 2015, Mehta decided to join Urban ladder as head-HR. Two years later, she went on to join OYO as vice president and head-business HR. In her career spanning 15 years, Mehta has worked in multiple sectors such as consumer goods, retail, and e-commerce.

“This is an exciting time for the crypto ecosystem in India and we’re seeing a dynamic set of talent becoming interested in driving its progress,” states Mehta.

She goes on to admit that the Company aims to “recognise the budding talent in nascent fields that still largely lack specialised expertise, mainly in blockchain development, and hone their skills”.

Mehta is “looking forward to building an inclusive and supportive culture at ZebPay that encourages upskilling and personal development to align with its overarching objectives.”
