ISRO looking for research scientists

Applications are invited from interested candidates by the Indian Space Research Organisation’s (ISRO) Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC) to fill two posts of research scientists. The last date for applyingfor these contractual positions is is December 17, 2020 until 5 PM IST .

The selected candidates will be hired for a period of three years, with a salary of Rs 74,000.

Only those who have completed an MSc in either meteorology or atmospheric sciences with first class distinction may apply. A minimum aggregate of 65 per cent marks or GPA/CPI grading of a minimum 6.84 is mandatory.

The work includes data-product generation based on round-the-clock Doppler Weather Radar (DWR), scheduler mode operation, data validation, and providing support in maintenance and calibration of RADAR. The age limit of applicant is at 35 years and the vacancies may increase based on requirement.

Applications can be submitted through the VSSC site by filling out an application form. Candidates registered under the National Career Service (NCS) portal, who fulfill the eligibility criteria can also apply. After the application submission, communication will be facilitated through e-mails or the VSCC site.

Post the online registeration, applicants will be provided with a registration number which will be required for future reference. No verification documents or certificates need to be submitted along with the online form.
