Blue Ocean Corporation has rewarded its vice president-training with a Nissan Patrol car. Why? Because Mohammad Irfan, the executive at the receiving end of this grand gesture performed exceptionally well and completed ten years of service, the Dubai-based conglomerate thought he deserved a reward worthy of his performance. That isn’t all, Blue Ocean acknowledges the role played by the spouses of its employees in their performance and loyalty to the company.
About 115 other top performers from last year were rewarded for their hard work, with luxury watches, expensive phones and international vacations. The rewards were announced during the conglomerate’s annual general meeting in Dubai.
The spouses of at least ten employees who have completed a decade with the organisation will receive 10 per cent of the basic salary every month. The amount will be credited directly to the accounts of the spouses or immediate family members.
That Blue Ocean Corporation takes its commitment to inclusivity seriously is very clear. Its workforce comprises members from over 20 nationalities, who are working across five countries, including India.
The company is expanding in India and by focussing on employee recognition, it is setting just the right precedent for India Inc. The company believes that the families of their employees are as important as the employees themselves.
Sourav Ganguly, board member of Blue Ocean Corporation highlighted how Blue Ocean realises and accepts that “success isn’t just an individual journey—it’s a collective effort. This initiative is our way of appreciating the people who stand behind our team every step of the way.”
The initiative is proof of the leadership philosophy of the firm, which values people as much as performance. By recognising the people back home who support the employees in their professional journey, the company is reshaping corporate culture, fostering loyalty, and reinforcing its reputation as a global leader in employee-centric innovation.
Percy Jal Engineer, senior director-academics, Blue Ocean Corporation, who has completed a decade with the firm, says, “This recognition feels so personal. It’s not just for me, but for my wife, who dealt with the late hours and the stress I brought home.”
“This initiative sets a new standard for corporate responsibility, showing that companies can, and should, care for both the employee and the support system that makes their success possible”, said Sathya Menon, group CEO, Blue Ocean Corporation.
Menon is “proud to set a new standard for employee recognition in one of the world’s fastest-growing markets” as Blue Ocean continues to expand its operations in India.
“This is about showing that the organization truly understands, that behind every employee is a whole network of support,” said Abdul Azeez, group chairman, Blue Ocean Corporation.
Founded in 1998, Blue Ocean Corporation offers premium solutions to clients across training, consulting, and conferences.
