The youth of Haryana can look forward to free drone training under the Deen Dayal Upadhyay Grameen Kaushal Yojana (DDU-GKY) launched by the Haryana State Rural Livelihood Mission (HSRLM). The training will be imparted by AVPL International’s Gurugram Remote Pilot Training Organisation (RPTO). With this initiative, Haryana becomes the first state in India to launch free training programmes specifically targeting drone manufacturing and assembly technicians, establishing a precedent for similar initiatives across the country.

The objective is to empower 140 youth with cutting-edge drone skills and train 210 individuals as agri-input service dealers and dairy entrepreneurship. The training worth Rs 40,000 to Rs 50,000, will be offered free of cost to eligible youth from Bhiwani, Hisar, Gurugram, Jind, Mewat, Palwal and other districts of Haryana.

This training programme will equip Haryana’s youth with advanced skills and address the growing demand in the rapidly-expanding drone industry.

Amarinder Kaur, CEO, Haryana State Rural Livelihood Mission, calls this a step that “will prove to be a new revolution in the field of skill development in Haryana” with the aim being that “every youth not only becomes technically proficient but also gains better employment opportunities.” Kaur believes, “This initiative will serve as a milestone in empowering and making rural India self-reliant.”

Preet Sandhuu, founder and MD, AVPL International, sees this programme as a contribution towards “making India a talent hub for the global drone industry and this initiative helps us further our resolve to serve talented youth with free education and skill development.”

AVPL International has a proven track record of success under the DDU-GKY programme, having trained 360 individuals with 71.39 per cent securing jobs (257 individuals).

Therefore, there is no doubt that this initiative will create a pool of skilled professionals ready to contribute to the booming drone sector. By focusing on rural empowerment and technological innovation, the programme aims to transform Haryana’s rural landscape while setting the stage for sustainable employment opportunities.

The company’s Drone as a Service (DaaS) initiative is already revolutionising farming practices. AVPL International is actively working in collaboration with AICTE and Taiwan-based Ahamani Advanced to integrate cutting-edge drone technology and advanced training modules, fostering innovation and skill development in India’s agricultural and industrial sectors.
