The summer placements for the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) Mumbai Batch of 2024-26, for MA human resource management and labour relations (HRM & LR) was a huge success. Not only did all the participants get placed, but the highest stipend stood at a whopping Rs 4.5 lakhs for two months.
The average stipend of the top 10 per cent and the top 25 per cent was Rs 4.50 lakhs and Rs 4.36 lakhs for two months, respectively. A whopping 92 per cent of the batch received a stipend of Rs 2 lakhs for two months and above.
The top 50 per cent of the batch received an average stipend of Rs 3.98 lakhs for two months.
The placement process that took place in September 2024, saw participation by RPG Group, TAS, Tata Steel, Marico, Mondelez, Nestlé, Accenture,Aditya Birla Group, Asian Paints, Bajaj Auto, Citi, ITC, and Reliance Industries, who are all regulars.
Maximum offers were made by Aditya Birla Group followed by Godrej Industries, Accenture, Bajaj Auto, Citi and Reliance Industries.
The mean stipend stood at Rs 3.22 lakhs for two months, which was 14.20 per cent more than last year.
Most of the internship offers came from FMCG, followed by conglomerates, BFSI/NBFC, manufacturing, engineering and technology and so on.
Amongst the first-time recruiters were Diageo , Yes Bank, Barclays, BP Castrol, Capital One, , ICRA, Lixil, SMFG India, Sterling &Wilson, Suzuki R&D and Truemeds.
Of the total 65 students who participated, 17 were women.
