    Features Writer/Asst. Editor

    Job Description

    • Daily morning news selection, filing and uploading
    • Keeping a track of latest news, new trends, movements, and industry best practices
    • Applying good news sense and an ability to consistently break exclusive stories
    • Writing news stories and exclusives based on data-driven value additions and analysis
    • Sourcing appropriate imagery/infographics for the articles filed
    • Generating feature ideas on the latest trends and technology in the HR space interacting with senior CHROs and CEOs of Fortune 500 companies
    • Covering internal and external events
    • Conducting video and written interviews with senior HR professionals/ CEOs
    • Staying active on social media such as LinkedIn, Twitter to build a strong network and gain journalistic inside insights
    The role reports directly to the Editor

    Shift Timing: 9.30 am to 6.30 pm

    Working Days:

    • Monday to Friday (Optional: Saturdays may require few hours, depending on business needs)

    Daily Deliverables

    • 3-4 news snippets
    • 1 feature/ exclusive/ Q&A article

    Word Length

    • News snippets: 300-400 words
    • Feature/Exclusive: 700-1000 words

    Key Skills

    • Practice thoughtful journalism and analysis
    • Proficiency in writing with strong language skills
    • Understand news structure/tropes and deliver copies in express speed
    • Ability to connect and communicate with senior leaders for both written and video interviews,
    • Strong news reporting basics – Understanding essentials in human resources

    Required Experience and Qualifications

    • Graduate or Post Graduate in English/Journalism/Business from a reputed institute
    • 1-6 years of experience.
    • Knowledge of HR will be an advantage but not a must
