In a pandemic-struck economy, G7CR Technologies, a Bangalore-based cloud services provider has decided to provide various benefits to its employees for a safer and healthier work environment. The Company has announced a work-from-home allowance of Rs. 18,000 for all its employees, to purchase UPS and office furniture for a comfortable remote-working setup.
Not just that, for the ones who had inadequate facilities to sustain working at home, desks and chairs were sent to their homes. It is also reimbursing monthly internet bills.
In addition, the Company has announced benefits of Rs. 1 Lakh as hospitalisation expenses for COVID-related treatment. This amount will be over and above the insurance cover and can be availed by the employees and their immediate family members.
To ensure that power failures are never a hindrance to work, the Company has also provided home inverters.
The aim was to ensure that the work-from-home standards matched or at least came close to that of an office environment’s standards, without hampering the home experience. With all its facilities and initiatives, G7CR is ensuring that its employees are not only closer to their families at home, but to their family from the workplace as well.
Christopher Richard, managing director, G7CR Technologies, maintains that in trying to uphold their commitment towards employee safety, the entire staff has been told to work from home until it is absolutely safe to return to office.
Broadband connections have been provided to all employees, so that they not only remain connected to the workplace, but also enjoy their time during non-working hours.
For further engagement, the Company is conducting constant town halls and virtual team meetings, which have helped to boost the morale of the staff.
The Company is now all set to launch a ‘Coffee with MD’ programme, where discussions on how the current situation may lead to mental or emotional distress for employees will take place. These discussions are expected to engage everyone and keep their spirits high.
That is not all. The Company has ensured that annual bonuses are paid as committed to the employees in April 2020.
Recently, the Company invested over a quarter million to redo its office interiors so that its employees witness an altogether new ambiance when they return to work.
