SYKES, the global digital marketing and customer services outsourcing company, has opened its fourth centre in the Kokapet area of Hyderabad. The Company plans to take on at least 500 more people in its existing team of 2,000 employees. Spread over an area of about 44,000 sq. ft., this is the Company’s sixth centre in India, and the second one opened since the lockdown.

This new vibrant employee-centric office space is based on advanced office architecture and is equipped with a first-aid room for medical emergencies and a separate prayer room to accommodate employee needs.

Focussing on functionality and sustainability, the SYKES centres are all designed to prioritise energy and water conservation. They also employ technology, such as motion sensors and LED lights to save electricity. They have partnered with building spaces that prioritise sustainability. The latest centre at Laxmi Infobahn has received the LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification – an internationally recognised green building certification system.

SYKES is known for creating intelligent customer experiences and serving clients and brands across varied industries, including banking, communication, technology, telecom, retail, and small & medium businesses through multiple channels. The Company is focused on building employee-centric facilities that promote an environment conducive to working, learning and growing professionally in the BPO industry.

Dishant Bhojwani, country head, SYKES India, shares that the Company experienced rapid growth by “servicing strategic clients who have played important roles in supporting customers during the global lockdown. Their explosive customer growth has fuelled our business, which has required Sykes’ continued expansion in the country to keep pace with demand.” He reiterates that SYKES is “ committed to supporting the community by providing opportunities for top talents, and giving them the chance to work with world-class teams all over the globe.”

    Safety measures for employees

At the SYKES centres, employees follow strict social distancing, all workstations are partitioned, and sanitisers are placed in every corner for easier access. Closed-door meetings and conference rooms are not allowed in the meantime to avoid unnecessary contact. COVID-19 posters and awareness materials are also placed on-site to remind employees of protocols and social distancing measures.

The entire floor and all workstations are sanitised regularly upon every login and logout, followed by deep cleaning and sanitisation once every 24 hours. Safety measures including temperature check, providing masks, and going through footbaths before entry are strictly followed. SYKES has also educated all team members on the importance of these protocols and controls to ensure that everyone on site is safe.

The Company offers customer-engagement services to Global 2000 companies, and has operations in the US, Canada, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia and Australia.
