- The Advisor shall consult and advice line managers and HR Managers in the business areas within a dedicated country/business area and develop an effective and close interaction with the aim of understanding their business needs and deliver value adding services within the framework of the service portfolio/SLA.
- The Advisor shall support the Country Chair to ensure compliance with local laws and requirements.
- The Advisor will act as third line support on questions routed via MyGSS that cannot be answered by the global center due to complexity and/or need for local knowledge.
The Advisor will typically:-
- Consult and advise Line Managers and People Managers on employee relations and management issues
- Govern, improve and implement operational procedures policies, as well as ensure legal and regulatory compliance
- Support the Global Center teams with local advice
- Support HR initiatives from Group, GSS centrally and the GSS HR region
- Identify opportunities to deliver additional advisory/pay per use services to customers
- Maintain an effective understanding of DNV strategy and activities
- Support the business areas in the planning and implementation of reorganizations/change processes
- Maintain generalist knowledge within the following expert areas:
- Labour law and labour relations
- Pension and insurance
- Compensation and benefits
- HSE
- Employer branding
An Advisor may also:-
- Manage or support M&A processes, both due diligence and integration
- Manage an efficient and professional collaboration with employee representative bodies
Qualification And Experience:-
- Graduate in any discipline
- Masters/Diploma degree in the specialization of Human Resources Management
- Approximately 3 to 6 years of broad HR experience, ideally in multinational environments, in several HR fields such as change management, HR advisory, compliance, compensation & benefits, recruitments, international assignments, pension & insurance
- Knowledge of the specific labour market and knowledge and practical application of Compensation & Benefits and labour laws in India, Sri Lanka Bangladesh
- General knowledge of various employment laws and practices along with hands on experience in implementing them at the organization level
- Experience of working closely with senior stakeholders to gain buy-in and being able to support HR and company initiatives
- Experience in the administration of benefits and compensation programs and other Human Resources recognition and engagement programs and processes.
- Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment. Must possess excellent knowledge of Excel and prior experience with working with an Human Resources Information System (HRIS)
